WHIP SOCKS

Slings and Supplies Whip Sock design is a stocking-style steel woven Whip Sock which grips the hose, firmly covering a larger area of the hose. It is used to protect all air, hydraulic and water hoses against abrasion. Wear and tear usually takes place near the fittings which may result in a rupture. If a rupture were to develop within the covered area our specifically designed Whip Sock has additional safety factors within the design (in comparison to your traditional whip check) to prevent accident, injury and death!

Additionally, the woven steel design can also help prevent abrasion to the bottom of the hose and can be used as gripping or pulling aid when pipes are to be pulled into positions that are awkward and hard to reach. Standard whip checks allow a great amount of whip to occur. Our Whip Sock is designed to keep the hose under complete control if a hose failure occurs.

Standard air hose Whip Socks have eyelets at one end and comply with most safety requirements. Air hoses rarely break in the middle of the hose, and usually fail at the fitting – Whip Socks have proved to be totally secure and the best hose restraint available!
